This will cover the basic/routine maintenance that should be performed on a Smart Parts Shocker. This goes for both SFT and NXT. This is generally recommended to be done after every time you play. First, start by unscrewing the bolt guide. Then, take a long, non-metallic piece, such as a wooden rod or something similar, and push out the bolt assembly from the front. I used a long plastic thing i found somewhere. Just use something that won't scratch anything, screwdrivers are not recommended. Some people do use the bolt guide. If you have an HE bolt, you will need to remove the bolt's front-most o-ring to take it out of the firing can. I used a dental pick to get the oring off. You should now have the whole bolt assembly out in all it's pieces. Wipe off all the old dirt and grease from all the pieces, then regrease all the orings with special attention on the bolt oring and the bolt guide orings. You don't need too much grease, just enough to sit around the oring and a slight glaze over it. Assemble the bolt kit back. Place the rear donut on the bolt guide, with the cut out side at the back. Place the bolt into the back of the firing can, place the front oring back on the bolt, and snap the front of the can into place. Place the bolt/firing can on the bolt guide. Slide the whole assembly back into the body and screw the back cap on. Snug it down, but don't overtighten the bolt guide.
